Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) is a multifunctional peptide studied for immunomodulation, bronchodilation, and vasodilation. Research highlights its potential in regulating T-cell differentiation, modulating inflammation, supporting cardiovascular function, and providing neuroprotective effects in experimental and autoimmune models.
For research purposes only. This product is supplied exclusively for scientific laboratory research and analytical purposes. It is not intended for human or animal use, and must not be misused in any way that contravenes MHRA regulations or applicable laws.
Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) is a 28-amino-acid endogenous neuropeptide hormone found throughout the central nervous system, peripheral nerves, immune system, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract. It is a potent regulatory peptide widely distributed in the brain, lungs, immune cells, gut, cardiovascular system. It exerts its effects through cAMP signaling, vasodilation, immune modulation, neuroprotection, and anti-inflammatory cytokine balance. Key cellular actions include suppression of TNF-a, IL-6m IL-12, increases IL-10 (anti-inflammatory cytokine), regulates Th1/Th2/Th17 balance, and protects endothelial and epithelial barriers.
BENEFITS
Immune Modulation and Autoimmune Regulation (VIP is one of the strongest endogenous anti-inflammatory peptides)
Pulmonary and Respiratory Benefits (VIP is highly expressed in the lungs)
Neurological and Cognitive Effects (acts as a neurotrophic and neuroprotective peptide)
Gastrointestinal and Motility Support (is essential for gut homeostasis)
Vascular and Cardiovascular Effects
Hormonal and Endocrine Effects (interacts with hypothalamic-pituitary signaling)
Off-Label Use (when used internasally and after inflammatory markers normalize, MARCoNS addressed, and mold/toxin exposure eliminated, VIP may be used for the following)
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
VIP HAS THERAPEUTIC VALUE IN TREATING THE FOLLOWING:
